Here are this week's key market updates 👇

🌍 Global Market Pulse

📊 Trump Media Reduces Bitcoin Holdings to 4,261 BTC

Trump Media & Technology Group sold an additional 2,628 Bitcoin worth approximately $165 million, marking a 63% total reduction in its Bitcoin holdings over seven months. The company has sold 7,281 BTC worth around $545 million in total, leaving 4,261 BTC in reserve. This ongoing liquidation occurs alongside a 25% decline in DJT share value and growing scrutiny surrounding political crypto ventures under the proposed Digital Asset Market Clarity (CLARITY) Act.

🚨 Firmware Flaw Triggers $90M Hardware Wallet Exploit

Security researchers recently identified a critical firmware vulnerability in Coldcard hardware wallets that led to an estimated $88.6 million in stolen Bitcoin across more than 4,500 addresses. The flaw stemmed from a seed phrase generation process that failed to use true hardware entropy, allowing attackers to calculate private keys offline. This exploit triggered significant movement among self-custody holders, with on-chain data showing nearly 40,000 Bitcoin transferred across small-holder wallets in a single day. While the event highlights the risks of local firmware errors, users can protect their assets by verifying device updates through official channels, applying secondary passphrases, or using regulated platforms with multi-signature institutional custody.

Year-to-date flows remain in negative territory at roughly $5.3 billion, counterbalanced by $51.32 billion in cumulative inflows since their 2024 debut. Meanwhile, altcoin funds demonstrated stronger momentum, with Ether ETFs recording four straight weeks of inflows to reach $365.2 million for the month, while XRP ETFs logged $27.3 million in July additions.

📌 Regional Highlights

💵 MENA Becomes World’s Fastest-Growing Stablecoin Market

The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) has emerged as the world's fastest-growing region for stablecoin adoption, led by the UAE. Regional stablecoin trading volume share grew from 7% in 2023 to 11% in 2026, while stablecoin allocations to digital savings products nearly doubled over the same period. Driven by regulatory clarity and strong local infrastructure, users are moving beyond active trading to use digital dollar-pegged assets for wealth preservation, liquidity management, and long-term yield generation.
